To dream that you are arguing with someone you know, suggests that you are trying to resolve some internal conflict or some unsettled issue in your waking life. It maybe a subconscious expression to argue with that person that you are not ready to confront in real life.
In prophetic dreams an argument can also be considered a warning against impulsive decisions and a very clear warning to think before you act.
